Jesus and 'Father'

In the sermon on the mount we get a good picture of what God is like if you read between the lines. The word “father” is used some 14 times from Matthew 5:43-6:34. In fact “Father” seems to be the favorite term of Jesus when addressing God. His usage of “abba” is one of intimacy, one that is available to his adopted children as well.
