Books N More (Nov. 2)

November is here – which means the new freebies should be available! Here’s some of the ones I’ve found so far!

Noet (Logos’ Classic Literature partner) has Julius Caesar’s The Gallic War (2 vols) as their November FREEBIE and Civil Wars (2 vols) for 99 cents. These are Loeb Library editions.

Logos has Excerpts from the Abraham Kuyper collection for FREE (the full 3 volume collection is 19.99), along with a Spanish edition of AW Pink’s work. Their FREE book of the month is the Hermeneia commentary on Matthew 1-7.

Additionally Logos has Hermeneia commentary on Matthew 8-20 for 1.99 and Matthew 21-28 for 4.99,  Sacra Pagina on Mark for 99 cents, Civil Wars by Julius Caesar for 99 cents. Several of the Pulpit Commentary volumes are 3.99 each; 2 Corinthians, 2 Timothy, Godet’s 16 volume commentary is about right at 95 dollars. Remember that with Logos 6 books can be sent to Kindle for FREE so buying them in Logos gives you a two-for-one benefit – the ability to use them in Logos/Vyrso and Kindle. That’s why I don’t buy them in Kindle in they are available in Logos/Vyrso and similarly priced.

Proclaim presentation software has three FREE downloadable videos for use with church presentations here.

The FREE Audio book of the month from Christian Audio is Paul Tripp’s Sex & Money. This is a great book, be sure to get it here.

Kindle has the NIV Application Commentary Series (OT and NT) on sale again for $4.99 each. You can find the Genesis volume here. You can browse individual volumes from there or by using the individual links at Cross Point. Logos has had them on sale as low as 7.99 a few months back.

FREE books from Kindle in the commentary genre include Application Commentary of the Gospel of Matthew by Strohman, Revelation Unveiled by Russell Stendal (Missionary to Columbia), Elijah Calling by Ken Mentell and various other books. To browse more use this link.

Amazon commentaries for 99 cents include Be Alive (John 1-12) by Wiersbe, 1 Peter (Exegetical Guide to Greek NT), Psalms by Spurgeon, Matthew Henry on the Whole Bible.
